Mechanics of Time Dependent Materials Conference

September 4th-7th   2018

Milano

Politecnico di Milano is happy to welcome the 11th International Conference on Mechanics of Time-Dependent Materials (MTDM 2018).

The conference will be held from September 4th to September 7th at Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy, following the last conferences in Monterey (USA) in 2008, in Portoroz (Slovenia) in 2010, in Kanazawa (Japan) in 2012, in Montreal (Canada) in 2014 and in Paris (France) in 2016.

Aim and Scope

The purpose of this conference is to foster the exchange of knowledge between researchers approaching the topic of time dependent behaviour of materials from different viewpoints so as to generate solutions for open issues and new ideas.

The conference will deal with materials like polymers, composites, metals, soft matter, living tissues, soils, wood, asphalt, concrete, etc., in the framework of disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering and Science,  Design.

Contributions dealing with experimental investigation and modeling of time-dependent mechanical behaviour, as well as with applications relying on time-dependent aspects are invited.

Venue

The Conference will be hosted by Politecnico di Milano, one of the most important European Technical Universities.
The University is sited in Milano, the largest city of North Italy, the economical center of the Country, a world landmark for fashion and design and a city of arts.
